Week of Open Source Hardware (WOSH)

The Week of Open Source Hardware (WOSH) was organized by the Digital Circuits and Systems Group from June 11 to June 14, 2019.

The first two days were the official external page RISC-V workshop and the following two days, a free complementary program by the external page FOSSi Foundation and the external page PULP project, with the support of H2020 projects external page Eurolab4HPC and external page OPRECOMP that covered topics around free and open source silicon, its licensing and open source EDA tools were organized. external page WOSH gave free and open source silicon enthusiasts the chance to gather
and discuss throughout an entire week.

Notable guests during the week also included external page Dave Patterson, Turing Award winner, and father of RISC systems, who
external page announced a new benchmark for embedded processor performance which uses the Ri5CY core developed at ETH Zurich as a reference.
