By Train Trains leave every 15 to 20 minutes and take about 10 minutes to get you to Zürich Central Railway station (Zürich Hauptbahnhof or just ‚HB‘). At the airport follow the signs to the underground train station to get to the railway station. The train station is located three storeys underground in the same building you arrived. Please make sure that you have a valid ticket before taking the last stairs down to the platforms. Tickets can be bought at the ticket shop or at the ticket vending machine. Enter the code 8000 for Zurich. If you buy a ticket for 3 zones (Zonen), the tram in Zurich is inclusive.

By Tram Follow the signs at the railway station to get to the tram stop of tram number 6 (tram stop "Bahnhofstrasse"). Please make sure that you have a valid ticket. If you have a ticket for 3 zones already, you do not have to pay for the tram. If not, tickets can be obtained at the ticket vending machine. Take a tram number 6 towards the destination "Zoo". Leave at the fifth stop called Voltastrasse. The tram ride will take about 10 minutes. Walking back some steps you will get to the main entrance of the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (building ETZ). The entrance of the ETZ is open from 7 am to 7 pm.
Comig from Luzern or Gotthard
After the expressway ends, follow the street signs to City/See and later Bellevue. At Bellevue follow the signs Winterthur which directs you into Rämistrasse. After two traffic lights turn right into Gloriastrasse (direction Zoo). The building Gloriastrasse 35, where the Integrated Systems Laboratory IIS is situated, is on your left in the first right turn of Gloriastrasse. There are parking places in our underground car park. Please contact the building information desk in E-floor and ask for a parking card and a coin for opening the entrance to the garage. You will find us in J-floor. Comig from Munich or St. Gallen
If you are approaching Zürich on the expressway A1 follow the green street signs downtown to Zürich-City. Take the exit Zürich-Schwamendingen / Universitätsspital.
For about 5 km drive straight ahead until you reach the building of the Universitätsspital. After the Universitätsspital building turn left into Gloriastrasse (direction Zoo). The building Gloriastrasse 35, where the Integrated Systems Laboratory IIS is situated, is on your left in the first right turn of Gloriastrasse. There are parking places in our underground car park. Please contact the building information desk in E-floor and ask for a parking card and a coin for opening the entrance to the garage. You will find us in J-floor. Coming from Basel, Bern or Geneva
If you are approaching Zürich from Basel (expressway A3), Bern or Geneva (A1) on the expressway, take the A20 (Zürich Nordring) in direction of St. Gallen / Schaffhausen (at the intersection A1/A20 about 3 km after the exit Dietikon). Follow the green street signs downtown to Zürich-City. Take the exit Zürich-Schwamendingen / Universitätsspital.
You could also follow the directions Zürich-City direct on A1, but as the directions across the city are much more complicated we do not recommend it.
